Day 1 Start of my Yeast

Today Feb 3, 2015, I started my yeast .The sourdough preparation starts with a starter which consist of water and flour.  The purpose of the starter is to produce a vigorous leaven and  that helps develop the flavor of the bread.  I provided a link with information about sourdough preparation

Ingredients included:

  • 2 tablespoon of flour mix
  • Lukewarm water( Pour until it looks like cake or pancake batter. )
  • Store in a cool and dark place where heat won’t fluctuate ( kitchen corner or pantry area)
  • Check yeast the next day to see if there are any gas bubbles forming at the base of the bowl

2 Tablespoon of Flour Mix (include Bread & Wheat flour

Pour Lukewarm water until it reach the consistency of cake or pancake batter

Cover Yeast with a clean Kitchen towel

Store in a cool and dark place where heat won’t fluctuate . I decided to use my pantry; that is where I feel like it is cool and heat will not go up or down
